Welcome to Raleigh and the Triangle Area of North Carolina!
Whether looking for a place to live, start a business, raise a family, or retire, few areas have as much to offer as the Triangle area of North Carolina. Here is a brief summary of some of our marvellous neighborhoods:
Warm and welcoming Apex provides its history and small-town charm mixed with just-built neighborhoods. Cary, with a population of over 100,000, is not so much a suburb but a city in and of itself. Here you’ll find numerous cultural activities, a family-friendly environment, fine dining, shopping and more.
Choose the university atmosphere of Chapel Hill, and you’ll discover an eclectic area where business mingles with academia and the arts community adds a distinctive flavor that can’t be overlooked.
Fearrington Village, just outside Chapel Hill, is a cozy, upscale, mostly retirement community with lovely homes that surround North Carolina’s only AAA five-diamond, Mobil five-star restaurant and inn.
The choices and differing ways of life in the Raleigh area are seemingly endless.
For a slightly slower pace, explore the rural countrysides of Clayton, Garner, Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs. Quiet and peaceful, these communities are all kid-friendly and offer more breathing room, yet are still close to Raleigh and all its amenities. Wake Forest is slower-paced as well, offering a quaint charm with a mix of history and new housing developments.
Providing even more history is Hillsborough, just outside Chapel Hill, and with a population of about 5,000. There are more than 100 houses here that date back to either Revolutionary War or Civil War times, yet there’s a wonderful mix of new and older homes as well.
Morrisville is a bedroom community to Cary that provides residents with close proximity to both Cary and Research Triangle Park. The Park, also known as RTP, is a research and business community that is home to over 130 high-technology corporations. Biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and more make up this 7,000-acre area.
Yet another choice is Durham, which likewise bustles with high-tech business, but instead of simply a corporate climate, also offers a definite urban feel. The “City of Medicine” is not only filled with medical institutions and corporations, it’s also packed with scholars, artists, and culture, as well as a tremendous array of amenities of its own.
Like a multi-faceted gem, the Raleigh area has many, many aspects. No wonder national magazines have awarded it so many accolades, and no wonder so many people are deciding to call it home. One visit to the City of Oaks, even a virtual one, and you may decide the same.
May your search for a new home go well, and may you soon find yourself taking advantage of all the riches the Triangle has to offer.
